The golden stool is the symbol of the unity that exist between the Ashanti people. It was miraculously descended from Heaven by a Fetish Priest known as Okomfo Anokye some centuries ago. Okomfo Anokye also at his time, planted two trees and predicted that one of the trees will die and one will live. Where he planted the tree which will live is now present day Kumasi (the lived tree) and where he planted the which will die is now known as Kumawu (the dead tree.

The cape Coast Castle has been designated as a World Heritage Monument by the World Heritage Foundation ( UNESCO). It was the base for the triangular slave trade centuries ago where the slaves were kept in dungeons (about 200/dungeon) and then later transported in ships to the Latin America and then Europe. It is located in Cape Coast, the capital town of the central region of Ghana
